Installation guide
Install your eSIM step by step, then select it for mobile data when you are ready to use your plan.
Choose how to install the eSIM on your device.
Prepare your phone before installation
Open My eSIMs in your account and select the purchased SIM. Once provisioning is complete, its page provides the QR code and available manual installation details. Follow that SIM's instructions if they differ from this general guide.
A compatible phone
Confirm eSIM support and carrier unlock before starting.
Stable internet
Connect to reliable Wi-Fi while downloading the profile.
Check activation timing
Some plans start at installation; others start on a supported network.
iPhone
Install with the QR code from your eSIM page.
Open Settings, Cellular or Mobile Data, then Add eSIM.
Choose Use QR Code. Display your code on another screen and scan it, then approve the download.
Finish the prompts and label the new line, for example Travel. Keep your usual line for calls if required.
At your destination, enable the travel line and select it for Cellular Data. Follow the roaming instructions below.
The new line appears in Cellular settings. An installed profile does not always mean the plan has started.
On supported iOS versions, you may be able to press and hold a QR code or select it from Photos. If unavailable, use another screen or manual entry.
Samsung Galaxy
Add the profile from SIM manager.
Open Settings, Connections, SIM manager, then Add eSIM.
Choose the QR scanning option and scan your own SIM's code from another screen.
Approve adding the plan, wait for completion and give the new SIM a recognisable name.
In SIM manager, choose the travel SIM for Mobile data. Check roaming in Mobile networks according to the plan instructions.
The eSIM appears in SIM manager and can be selected for data.
One UI labels vary. If gallery import is unavailable, use manual entry or display the QR on another device.
Google Pixel
Add an eSIM under Network & internet.
Open Settings, Network & internet, SIMs, then Add SIM.
Choose Set up an eSIM or Download a SIM instead, then follow the QR-code option.
Scan the code, approve downloading the profile and wait for setup to complete.
Select the travel eSIM for mobile data, enable Use SIM and apply its roaming settings when ready to connect.
The profile is listed under SIMs. Network access also requires coverage and an active data plan.
The setup screens can vary by Android version and carrier. Keep the Wi-Fi connection active until installation finishes.
Other Android phones
Menu names differ across Android manufacturers.
Search Settings for eSIM, or open Mobile network, SIM cards or SIM management.
Select Add eSIM or Download SIM, then choose scanning a QR code.
Scan the code from your account, confirm the download and name the installed profile.
Enable the new SIM and select it for mobile data. Apply roaming and APN only as specified for that plan.
The downloaded eSIM appears in the phone's SIM list.
If the options differ, use the manufacturer's guide for your exact model. Do not choose transfer or convert your existing SIM by mistake.
Install without scanning a QR code
Open the manual installation section on your eSIM page. Copy the values exactly; they belong to that particular SIM.
- On iPhone, choose Enter Details Manually from the QR screen, then enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code in their separate fields.
- On Android, look for Enter activation code or Enter manually. Some devices request a complete activation string; use the format shown in your SIM's instructions.
- Enter a confirmation code only if one was provided. Do not invent values or put the full activation string into the SM-DP+ address field.
A QR code and manual details are alternative ways to install the same profile. Do not install it twice or share its activation details.
Connect to mobile data at your destination
Installation downloads the SIM; connection depends on the plan's coverage, activation rule and phone settings.
- Enable the travel eSIM and select it as the mobile data line. Turn on data roaming for that line when the plan requires it.
- Turn off data roaming on your home SIM and disable automatic data switching to reduce unexpected home-carrier data charges. Calls and SMS may still be charged.
- Keep network selection automatic initially. If an APN is supplied, copy it exactly into the travel line's access point settings; otherwise keep the default.
Briefly turn off Wi-Fi and open a webpage to test mobile data. The test uses some allowance. You may need to wait for the supported local network to register.
Installation or connection not working?
Keep the installed profile while checking these common causes.
QR rejected: check whether the eSIM is already installed, use the code for the correct order and try a stable internet connection. A used or expired code needs support review.
Installed but no internet: check destination coverage, remaining allowance, validity, the selected data SIM, roaming and APN. Toggle airplane mode briefly or restart the phone.
Still stuck: send support your order number, phone model, current country and the exact error. Use the private support channel for screenshots; do not publish activation codes.
Common questions
When should I install the eSIM?
Check your plan first. If validity starts at installation, installing early uses part of the period. If it starts at first connection, follow the plan's installation and activation deadlines.
Can I install using the same phone?
Use a supported photo import or QR recognition feature, or enter the manual details. Otherwise display the QR on another screen. Available options depend on the phone.
Why does the phone say Activating before arrival?
Some travel plans cannot register until you reach a covered destination. Confirm installation in the SIM list and check again on a supported network.
Should I delete and reinstall to fix a problem?
No. Some profiles cannot be downloaded again. Keep the eSIM installed and contact support before deleting it or resetting the phone.
Does turning the eSIM off pause validity?
Normally no. Once the plan's validity has started, disabling the line does not stop time passing. Follow the conditions shown for your plan.
